West Coast Nationals, Monroe, Wa. 6/26-7/2/2011

The weather was cool with some rain showers during heat races

All calls were shown right away on the electronic scoreboard at the end of the track.
Ziggy flagged all day every day.

After the rain, the trucks were out on the track pulling a huge tire to help dry the track off. It worked and the races were soon underway again

The covered on chute had room for 4 lanes of cars waiting to go out

The Snack Shack was completed just before the Grands.

Bathrooms came equipped with automatic toilets and hot showers

This was a beautiful, all asphalt track (no concrete), fairly long and with some bank in the corners.

Each board had 2 Super Modified tires bolted to it. Inside the tires were sandbags that helped stop them from moving. The boards were not hooked together so it was easy to fix the track after a crash.
